Wedding Information

We have finally set the date after much searching for a suitable location for our wedding!

The wedding will be held at Starved Rock State Park in Illinois on August 25th, 2006. Yes, this is on a Friday, not Saturday. Sorry! But we are happy to have an opportunity to get married in such a beautiful place.

Accommodations

There are cabins and a lodge in the park, we are holding 33 rooms there. Additional lodging is in Oglesby. We are holding blocks of rooms at the Days Inn (815) 883-9600 $71, and a Holiday Inn Express (815) 883-3535 $88. When you are making reservations, be sure to tell them you are with the Ploplys-Judd wedding. Camping is also available within the park. There are also a few bed and breakfasts in the area.


Attire
We have received a lot of questions about what people should wear to the ceremony and reception. The ceremony site is a short walk, and it will probably be hot, and the path could possibly be muddy. Be sure to wear sensible shoes. For ladies, cocktail dresses, sun dresses are fine. Men could wear business casual-khakis and button up shirts. Just no shorts, t-shirts, or jeans. (Laura says no cowboy boots, but I think they are okay.--Matt).
